Our no-frills collection of pictures to share. We are Johan and Renee Forrer from Monroe, Oregon. This was our first Rick Steve's tour also our belated honeymoon. Though we both have traveled extensively in Europe and Africa, we can recommend this tour; the comradery and quality of the experience was well worth it.
We left Seattle for London, Heathrow, on 9/10 and was probably flying over the British Isles when the events of 9/11 occurred. Actually, we learned about it shortly after we settled down in our hotel in Bath, England, when we received a phone call from the States from relatives. That tragic event did affect our spirits, but we were encouraged to continue with our plans. Joining up with fellow Americans helped a lot, also Rick's people did everything to make us feel at home.
